Elle <strong>ne se consomme que cuite, en confiture ou en gel\u00e9e<\/strong>, car <strong>sa chair est immangeable crue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La gig\u00e9rine r\u00e9clame \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de chaleur et craint le gel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le pied de cette past\u00e8que court sur des tiges rampantes ramifi\u00e9es pouvant atteindre 4m, sur lesquelles se d\u00e9veloppent des feuilles p\u00e9tiol\u00e9es tr\u00e8s d\u00e9coup\u00e9es. Les fleurs femelles f\u00e9cond\u00e9es par les fleurs m\u00e2les gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la pollinisation donnent naissance \u00e0 des fruits qui, une fois arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 maturit\u00e9 pourront peser plus de 5kg. Les plantules seront \u00e9claircies pour n\u2019en conserver qu\u2019une par pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La mise en place des pieds se fera mi-mai d\u00e8s que les risques de gel\u00e9es seront \u00e9cart\u00e9s, en les espa\u00e7ant de 1,5m en tous sens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conseil d\u2019entretien et de culture de la gig\u00e9rine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lors de la plantation ainsi que la p\u00e9riode qui suit, il convient d\u2019arroser mais uniquement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que la plante se soit bien enracin\u00e9e. Apr\u00e8s, elle supportera les \u00e9pisodes de s\u00e9cheresse \u00e0 condition d\u2019avoir un bon paillage du pied et des arrosages malgr\u00e9 tout r\u00e9guliers m\u00eame s\u2019ils doivent rester mod\u00e9r\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>R\u00e9colte, conservation et utilisation de la past\u00e8que \u00e0 confiture<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En l\u2019ouvrant, \u00e9p\u00e9pinage un peu long &#8211; Sa chair est blanche ou vert p\u00e2le.
